This Autumn term is set to be a busy time in Year 2. We will study the core texts 'We’re All Wonders', 'Can I build another me?', 'Amazing Grace' and explore poetry by the Children’s laureate Benjamin Zephaniah. This also supports Black History Month. As Scientists, we are learning about Animals including humans. We will study different life cycles and what is needed for survival. Geography takes us on a walk of our school grounds as part of the learning
about human and physical features in and around the local area. In Art, we will be looking at various sketching techniques so that we can sketch our own portrait. In RE will be learning about special books and how they are respected.  Our mathematicians will be focussing on place value which includes regrouping, partitioning and representing numbers. We will play many maths games to keep our children actively thinking.
