Sports/P.E. Grant

At Hillborough Infant and Nursery School we understand the importance of all our pupils having the opportunity to live healthy and active lives. We believe a positive experience of sport and physical activity at a young age can build resilience,  participation and confidence and the enthusiasm to continue to lead a healthy life style.

The government states that children and young people should have access to at least 60 minutes of sport and physical activity per day, and we ensure at least 30 minutes of this is delivered during the school day.

At Hillborough Infant and Nursery School we use our Sport Premium Funding to support the personal development of our pupils by delivering a broad, creative and ambitious education and providing opportunities to take part in a range of extra-curricular clubs.

Please see the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding across the 5 key indicators.

What a school must publish online - PE and sports premium

  • The amount of premium received;
  • A full breakdown of how it has been spent;
  • The impact the school has seen on pupils’ P.E., physical activity, and sport participation and attainment;
  • How the improvements will be sustainable in the future.

As an Infant & Nursery School, we do not have to publish any information regarding year six.
